Grab your yourself or your young'un a V1 Minor Threat frame. Or pick up a frame and 140mm Rockshox Reba 26" fork for an even better deal.

All framesets include a Rockshox Deluxe Select R 190x4 shock.

We build bikes that we want to ride, the Minor Threat is no exception (we just built this one for our kids!).

When we first decided to make a kids bike, the idea was simple. Why not put everything the grown-ups want, into a pint sized equivalent. Queue: The Minor Threat.

Nothing about this bike is a cheap imitation of your mum or dad's bike, The Minor Threat is the real deal. From the 4-bar suspension layout to the leverage ratio painstakingly tuned for the lighter rider. Or the flip-chip adjustable geometry, low standover, and ample room for a dropper seatpost, nothing about this bike will slow you down.

The Minor Threat comes in two sizes, S1 (24") and S2 (26"), both with adjustable geo to suit your needs. The 140/150mm platform is aimed at a variety of park, trail and jump riding, with progressive geometry that makes the Minor Threat a capable climber and an agile descender.

The Bike Shed

The Bike Shed is a place for custom, speciality or blemished complete bikes and frames. If a product is blemished, keep an eye out for photos and details in the description.

Each bike has been meticulously assembled with care and attention by one of our skilled mechanics. Just like all of us here at Chromag, they live and breathe bikes, so you can rest assured your ride has been built and inspected to the highest standard.

Each bike here is unique, whether the build kit or paint job, no two bikes in the shed are the same. Once they're gone, they're gone so be sure to check back often!

Sizing

If you're between sizes, it's a good idea to try to ride them both, either by hopping on a demo or stealing from a close friend. If that isn't an option, examine reach, stack and ETT numbers on your current bike and compare. If in any doubt, please get in touch and we'd be happy to chat about it with you.

Great bike for short, lightweight adults too

I have been praying for a tiny bike like this all my adult life, and I finally took the plunge and bought one a few months ago. It has been such a joy to finally feel in control of my bike and no longer held back by my equipment. To have the suspension work as intended. To roll up to gnarly PNW features and say hell yes, I'm riding them, because I know the bike is going to do what I tell it to do because ... for once in my life, it fits!! I'm giving it 4 stars only because I didn't love the stock fork (too harsh) and I'd have preferred to get a fancier build off the shelf. I get that for kids there's a price point to hit, but the bike industry should recognize that there are plenty of adults in this size range (mostly women) who are not being well served. (Note the staggering numbers of "what bike to buy the short wife/GF" threads on Pink Bike, etc.) That said, with a fork upgrade this is is a dream bike for anyone <130lbs. in the S2 size range. If you're tiny like me, do yourself a favor and buy it. And yes, the stand over is dreamy. Thanks, Chromag, for making an excellent little bike.

Amazing bike to watch your grom progress

My son has been on his minor threat for 8 months now and watching how it has enabled his progression has been wild. Been doing a combo of North Shore and Whistler Bike park and bike has stood up very well. Build quality it second to none. Climbs pretty well, maybe a bit heavy but again kids are hard on their bikes especially if they are senders so haven’t had to do a thing besides lube the chain. The slack geo and quality suspension has definitely saved his bacon coming up short and riding the steeps. Some people will question spending so much for a kids bike but this bike is so good that you know the resale value will be really strong so in reality it isn’t that crazy when it comes time for the next size. It’s an investment! At least that’s what I told my wife! Lol

Thanks for building it Chromag!

Buy your kid some skill!

I was lucky enough to get one of the first Minor Threat 26" bikes released for my 9 year old boy and it really was a game changer for him this summer. The geometry and suspension on this bike can handle anything the bike park can throw at it and its ability to climb well make it such a great bike for the little chargers. Seriously my son's skills improved instantly with the confidence this bike gave him. HIGHLY recommend. Well done Chromag!

whoop whoop!

Kaeden, our 8 year old son, is loving his new ride! It is still slightly to big for him, but he is having no problems pedaling it. We are a non lift access family (most of the time) and had friends worried about the Minor Threats pedal-ability and weight. Well, a couple weeks ago Kaeden wanted to ride Silver Stars 35km Beowulf loop. He shredded the downs and went up the loooong climb with no problems. He has been hitting bigger roll downs and can't stop popping off of every little lip and drop on all the trails. Fantastic ride Chromag!

Unbelievably stoked!

We just picked up the Minor Threat for our 8 year old son, and he is unbelievably stoked! The geometry, the suspension, the components, it is an incredible build. From climbing, to rock rolls, to the bike park, this bike handles it all with ease. After just a few rides, his comfort and confidence has noticeably risen. Chromag definitely knows how to build a bike! 10/10 would recommend.
